Benim değer verdiğim ırklar, sınırlar, dinler, kimlikler değil; saygı, insan, sevgi… Mikro ölçekte yolda yürürken üst kattan kafama atılan sigara külüyle başlayıp makro ölçekte durağa vardığımda canıma kıyan kötülüklerle dolu dünyanın bu deli düzeni. Neresini tutsak elimizde kalıyor. Ne günler atlattık, diye geride bırakabilmek; en güçlü ve aynı zamanda en naif, dileğiyle… #iyideğilimolmayacağım #allyouneedislove
What I value is not races, boundaries, religions, identities; it’s respect, humanity, love… Starting with the cigarette ash that drops on my head while I walk on the street to the explosion that kills me when I arrive to the bus stop; this world’s madness is full of evil. The image on the left is something I found when I was walking randomly via google maps and I have saved it as “good looking façade”. The other one on the right is of a project called “House in Kosai” (click on for the source) by Shuhei Goto Architects. Same material, almost the same look: one designed and the other is not.
Soldaki görsel, google maps’te yürürken rastlantısal bir şekilde karşılaşıp “iyi cephe” diye kaydettiğim bir yapı. Diğer görsel ise Shuhei Goto Architects’in “House in Kosai” projesi. Aynı malzeme, neredeyse aynı görünüş: biri tasarlanmış ve diğeri değil.

Roma’da Museo MAXXI’de 20 Nisan’a kadar sergilenecek olan “Istanbul.
